Quotes from 2008 Spring Concept Series

"Oddly enough, the paradox is one of our most valuable spiritual possessions, while uniformity of meaning is a sign of weakness.  …Only the paradox comes anywhere near to comprehending the fullness of life"

It has been 50 years since Jung wrote “Flying Saucers: A  Modern Myth."  At that time, while he did not deny actual reports from pilots and radar specialists, he wrote on the psychological and spiritual aspects of the phenomenon.  Current public opinion polls now report that half the American population believes in UFO’s and  that 40 million people have either seen, or know someone who has seen UFO activity.  In this presentation, Bernice will share reflections from 20 years of experience with individual, conferences, training workshops and journeys in this realm.  Her talk (illustrated with story and image) will focus more on the implications of UFO’s and their invitation to expand our ways of knowing than on the phenomenon itself.  In this period of profound earth and cultural change, it is time we examine this issue.

Bernice H. Hill, Ph.D. is a Jungian analyst, member of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, Board member and Senior Training analyst of the C. G. Jung Institute of Colorado. She has been in private practice in Boulder for twenty years. Her publications include the book, Money and the Spiritual Warrior, and two movie reviews in Quadrant, The Cider House Rules (Winter 2001) and The Phantom of the Opera (Summer 2005)
